Dr. Lesley Morical Dr. Morical grew up in Wisconsin, earned her BA from the University of Minnesota, then became a VISTA (domestic Peace Corps) volunteer and was posted to the original staff of the first shelter for abused women in Alaska. Seeing how victims of domestic violence were treated at their medical appointments and court appearances in the late 1970s motivated her to become a doctor who would listen to and truly care for women patients.
